It’s For Your Health

A recent article on Fox News led off with this little tidbit: In the near future, Americans who own or want guns likely will be subject to rafts of new questions from social scientists, medical researchers and law enforcement officials intent to discover just what guns they own, why they own them and what they intend to use them for — not to mention where and how they keep them. Magna Carta: Rules for Kings

The Magna Carta, contrary to what some think, does not translate to “Big U-Haul.” Although, in reality, a big U-Haul is what is needed to transport the Obamacare regulations (seven feet high and counting) around. Like the Constitution, the Magna Carta is also a slim document, but is packed with so much that it guided the framers as they debated and crafted the Constitution some 560 or so years later. We may recall that community organizer extraordinaire, Saul Alinksy, wrote “Rules for Radicals.” Well, think of the Magna Carta as “Rules for Kings.”

Land of the Free?

What with all the controversy over Justice Department snooping in reporters’ phone conversations and the National Security Agency tracking cell phone and Internet use of private citizens one would think that there would be an even louder uproar over the collection of personal information mandated by the Affordable Health Care Act. The silence is not only deafening, it is depressing.
