My Ukrainian friend Pavel spends all his free time glued to the internet soaking up the news of what’s happening in his country.  (He recently emigrated to Canada on a work visa.)

He has sent me dozens of video links, including a couple propaganda pieces – for and against Ukraine.  The latter was a Russian news program which was artfully done to portray the Ukrainian protesters as hooligans and violent thugs.  Interestingly it showed many dead bodies and led the viewer to believe that they were Russians!  However, having seen other amateur videos, I recognized some of the footage.  Some of the dead were victims of Spetzaz snipers!

The Ukrainian piece was much shorter and consisted of a video montage of recent events, including people being shot by Russian snipers.  No knowledge of Russian is necessary to understand this.

Finally, this video was shot in my friend Pavel’s home town Kremenchuk.
