This week’s puzzle is taken from an article we found in the Niles National Register.\u00c2\u00a0 It is an excerpt of a letter from an officer serving on the frigate United States and provides a glimpse of the times.\u00c2\u00a0 The writer probably did not realize that his remarks would be printed in the newspaper!\u00c2\u00a0 His opinions on the Spanish are interesting if not terribly flattering.<\/p>\n
